The precincts of Seonbonsa (temple), Mountain 35, Daehan-ri, Wachon-myeon
This is a statue of a sitting stone Buddha, located at the peak of Gwanbong(850m above sea level), the southern peak of Pakgongsan. It was made in the 9th Century, during the age of United Shilla.
The head is Sobal and has clear Yuk. Sangho is round and abundant.
The hands seem Hangmachokjiin, and the robe has a beautiful pattern flowing on both knees through the arms.
There is a Samdo on the neck, and a large Baekho on the glabella.
On the head, one natural stone (flat, 15cm in thickness) was put on the Yukgye after being treated to have a cylindrical hat shape, and it is assumed to have been added after ages.
It is managed by Seonbonsa.
The sitting Buddha is 6m tall.
